January 16, 02:35 PM: It is reported from basecamp that the Nepalese Team had planned to stop 10m below the summit of K2 to form a group of all 10 climbers and get the summit together.

January 16 06:00 PM: Spanish climber Sergi Mingote has died on K2, while descending from Camp 1 to Basecamp he suddenly fell down to Advance Basecamp.

January 16 09:00 PM: All 10 climbers safely reached Camp 4 on K2.

January 16 10:20 PM: All 10 climbers reached camp 3 on K2. 8 will stay at camp 3 and will descend to basecamp tomorrow. Sona Sherpa and Gyalje Sherpa will descend to basecamp tonight.
