Russian Indus river rafting team’s car hit by a landslide near Basho valley on Skardu road. According to reports one member is injured and shifted to CMH Hospital Skardu. Other members are safe.
The 11 Members Russian Kayaking team reached Skardu this month to paddle the Indus River from Skardu to Jaglote. The Russian started their journey from Skardu. It takes 4 days rafting in the river; starting from Skardu to the junction point of the three Mountain ranges near Jaglote. The journey covers a distance of 175 Km on the river Indus.
During a dinner with the Russian rafting team, Minister Tourism Gilgit Baltistan, Raja Nasir Ali Khan said that they are planning to organize a mega Indus river rafting in the coming years, and more international teams will be invited. We are gradually unlocking tourism potentials of our region of all types, he said.
