Polish expedition team to attempt an unclimbed peak Yawash Sar II (6,176 m) in Shimshal Hunza valley

Polish climber Yawash Sar II Laila Peak

A Five-member Polish expedition team will attempt to summit an unclimbed peak Yawash Sar II (6,176 m) in Shimshal Hunza valley. The team will then o to Hushe valley to climb and ski down from Laila Peak (6096-m).
The expedition team is led by three-time Polish ski mountaineering champion Andrzej Leszek Bargiel.

In 2018, Bargiel made history by being the first person to ski down from the summit of K2 to its base camp in 14 hours without any extra oxygen supply. He has also made the first successful ski descent of Broad Peak in 2015.
The other team members include Jedrzej Baranowski, Jakub Karol Gzele, Dariusz Jerzy Zaluski and Bartiomiej Pawlikowski.
