Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the historic Gilgit-Baltistan Integrated Development Plan.
The Mega package includes tourism, clean energy, infrastructure, transport, communication, health, and water sanitation.
After recovery from Covid_19, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan presided over the first meeting on Gilgit Baltistan Integrated Development Plan after assuming office, approved historic GilgitBaltistan Integrated Development Plan.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan directs Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid to pay special attention to promote tourism and environmental protection.
Addressing the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the development of Gilgit-Baltistan was one of the priorities of the PTI government. He said that Gilgit-Baltistan has huge potential for tourism that needs to be tapped. PM said that the government is working to uplift Gilgit Baltistan.
The approval of GB Integrated Development Plan by Prime Minister Imran Khan is a big milestone in the socio-economic sector of GB.
Last month the PTI led Government announced to bring a constitutional amendment bill in NA to make Gilgit Baltistan a province . The proposed bill will make Gilgit Baltistan an interim province of Pakistan.
