Prime Minister Imran Khan stressed that during the Dubai Expo which will be held from October 1, special attention should be paid to highlight the various investment opportunities available in Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that important provincial projects should be highlighted during the Expo and all provincial governments should finalize the preparations for the Expo as soon as possible. A review meeting was held on participation and preparations in this regard in which Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, Trade Adviser Abdul Razzaq Dawood, Special Assistant Dr. Shahbaz Gul, Chief Executive Trade Development Authority and other senior officials participated. The meeting was informed that Pakistan’s full participation in this international expo would open up new avenues for trade and investment where the international community would be introduced to various aspects of Pakistan. The expo will be started from October 2021 which will continue for six consecutive months. The Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing on the Pakistani pavilion and its various parts. The Prime Minister emphasized that during the Expo, special attention should be paid to highlighting the rich investment opportunities available in Pakistan, projects like Ravi River Project, Central Business District as well as tourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan. He said that special attention should be paid to the promotion of the country’s mineral resources, IT and religious tourism and to attract international investment in these sectors. The Prime Minister said that important provincial projects should be highlighted during the expo. He directed all provincial governments to finalize the preparations for the expo as soon as possible.
