Flight operation resumed in Swat after 17 years

Swat flight resumed

PIA flight landed at Saidu Sharif Airport, Swat after 17 years. The flight was carrying 47 passengers, including Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, Ministers Murad Saeed and Ghulam Sarwar Khan, MPA Fakhr Jahan.

PIA flight departed from Islamabad International Airport; an event was held at the airport where a cake was cut to celebrate the flight restoration operations after 17 afters. Saidu Sharif Airport was closed in 2004 after terrorism in Swat valley.

The aviation minister told that the PIA’s Swat flight operations were the need of the hour. This will boost tourism in the region and also help local people.
