Ali Sadpara Missing K2

Two helicopters of the Pak Army flew to K2 to locate Pakistani climber Ali Sadpara, Icelander John Snorri, and JP Mohr from Chile, as they lost contact with staff at basecamp. High Altitude porters Mr. Imtiaz and Mr. Akbar have reached base camp and Sajid Sadpara is descending from camp 2. The three climbers lost contact with Sajid last night. Sajid returned from bottleneck, he reported that they were moving up. Last night Sajid said that he didn’t see any light and their movement back to camp4. Today Sajid is descending from camp 2 as he is not able to rescue the climbers.

As per the report, the Pak army pilot has been instructed to take the flight up as maximum as possible, it’s very low temperature and 35 KM wind above 6500m.

Update Army Aviation helicopter team with 5 Squadron pilots starts another search operation on February 7 2021 to locate Muhammad Ali Sadpara and two other missing climbers.
