Skardu Pak Army helicopter flew from Skardu at 02:30 PM to search missing Bulgarian climber Atanas Skatov. He fell down from a cliff while returning from camp 3. Sherpas could not find Atanas Skatov. They have requested Pakistan Army for the helicopter to conduct a search operation. Earlier this day some climbers from the SST team returned back, some climbers have complained of frostbite. They are working out their return to Base camp.
Meanwhile Pakistani father and son Ali Sadpara and Sajid Sadpara, Icelander John Snorri, and JP Mohr Prieto from Chile, constantly moving up to the K2 summit, it is not confirmed either they crossed “bottleneck” or not, however, they already crossed 8,000m, crevasses, Shoulder at camp 4.
Update It is confirmed that, “Sherpas managed to recover Atanas Skatov’s body, currently a Pakistan army helicopter is transporting him to Skardu.”
