FWO has made significant progress on widening and re-carpeting of Jaglot Skardu Road

Construction of Jaglot Skardu Road

According to FWO, construction of Jaglot Skardu Road is in full swing. 44.7 km out of 48.7 km of Section III (Baghicha – Skardu) have been re-carpeted. In a social media statement FWO said that, so far FWO had sacrificed seven workers on this section but they have stood determined to timely complete this project of national significance to better serve the people of the region.

In 2017 NHA had briefed the National Assembly Standing Committee on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan to complete the construction of Jaglot Skardu by July 2020. As of December 2020, 26% of the work on the Jaglote Skardu road has been completed. According to FWO, construction of Jaglote Skardu road would be completed by September 2021.
