PIA’s flight from Islamabad to Gilgit and back to Islamabad was led by both females for first time

Gilgit For the first time in history, PIA’s flight from Islamabad to Gilgit and back to Islamabad was led by both females, Captain Maryam Masood and First Officer Shumaila Mazhar. This route is considered one of the most challenging in Pakistan as it passes through narrow valleys surrounded by high snowcapped peaks like Nanga Parbat. At the same time, Gilgit Airport has a rocky mountain straight ahead of the runway which involves an additional expertise to land and takeoff.
